On November 25, Vice President Li Xiangrong and Vice President Yang Huichuan of China National Biotec Group led a strong team of experts from Beijing Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Shanghai Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Wuhan Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Changchun Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Chengdu Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd., Sinopharm Animal Health Co., Ltd. and other brother companies to visit the new Lanzhou Biological Pharmaceutical Factory of China Animal Husbandry Industry Co., Ltd. and inspect the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine bioreactor production line built by ToCell (Suzhou) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ToCell").

Accompanied by Tuo Haoliang, director of the Lanzhou Biological Pharmaceutical Factory of China Animal Husbandry Industry Co., Ltd., the expert group went deep into the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine production workshop and visited three 4500L bioreactor foot-and-mouth disease vaccine production lines. They also discussed and exchanged views on animal disease prevention, innovation of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine production technology, and construction of a full-process vaccine safety system.

The expert group visited the bioreactor control system independently developed by ToCell

In this project, ToCell was mainly responsible for the design and manufacture of bioreactors, as well as the supporting design, development, installation and commissioning of the production line construction, including fully automatic CIP, SIP systems, liquid distribution systems, etc. It built a full-process production line for foot-and-mouth disease vaccines with high capacity, high automation and advanced technology from liquid preparation system to antigen production, with an estimated annual output value of over 1 billion yuan.

Afterwards, the expert group held a symposium at Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. At the symposium, Zhou Jinsong, executive vice president of ToCell, reported on the technical achievements of ToCell bioreactors, had in-depth exchanges with the expert group on the design concept, technological innovation, and application of ToCell bioreactors in vaccine production, and actively interacted with technical experts from various subsidiaries of China National Biotec Group to answer technical key points and difficulties in the application of bioreactors.
